Increase the value of your property
Garden is an important factor for any property unless it’s a flat. Having a good looking garden can increase your house value by approx 15%. Many homeowners are rebuilding their garden so that the value of their property climbs up in the market. Most people these days have swimming pools, swings, outdoor trampolines and other garden accessories, which might catch the eye of the buyer.
I think that is a brilliant idea. Another great idea would be to increase the size of your conservatory if you have enough room in your garden, then have an extra room located in it. I have recently done this and had conservatory increased with one extra room and a toilet. Before it was a two bedroom house with 1 bathroom, 1 living room and 1 reception but now it is a three bedroom house with two bathrooms, one reception, one conservatory and one living room. This change cost me approx £2,500 but has increased the value of my property by 20% from what it was before even in this credit crunch.
This is just one example, recently my Uncle built a play ground in his back garden which includes five swings, two 12ft trampolines with safety pads and safety nets, 4 kid benches, 7 climbing toys and a water fountain. Are you wondering how did he afford it? He has been a Doctor for over 50 years so this wasn’t anything for him. His pension is nearly double to what I get for my salary and I am an engineer for god sake, so just imagine how big his house is – I might as well call it a mansion. I asked him why he built a playground, he replied: in few years he wants to sell this house and buy a small house for he and his wife but also mentioned if the house doesn’t sell he would like to open the back garden for his neighbourhood kids and also allow a nursery next to his house to use the play ground. What a really good idea. He can make money by giving it for a rent as a nursery so he won’t really be loosing anything, which he spent to built it. May be I can add a 10ft trampoline on to my garden and create a playground for my kids.
