Spain Holidays Are Never Boring
Ah, Spain. Love of my life. I have loved this country since I first visited it, more than 25 years ago. I have seen it many times since and have traveled the North, the South, the East and the West. I have seen (to name but a few) Bilbao, Salamanca, Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla and Algeciras, a small but beautiful city close to Gibraltar. And one of my favorites is the Burgos region. It has beautiful mountain tops that all seem to be orange.
I used to be a special courier for goods that needed special care and the company I worked for was delivering goods all over the world. I have seen all of Europe, and Spain was one of my favorite destinations. When you have seen the areas around Cadiz and Sevilla, where life is so different than in the rest of Europe, you just want to come back again and again.
Of course the climate helps. In the south of Spain the winters are practically non-existent, since temperatures are still in a very comfy range. I mean, sitting in the sun with a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius while at home the snow falls from the skies, who doesn’t want that?
If you are into white sandy beaches, Spain is a great country with a lot of opportunities. What about for instance Lloret de Mar or Blanes, which are very close to Barcelona (a city by the way, with an incredible Italian restaurant close to the famous Gaudi Church, where I ate the best pizza ever, called “Calzone Mysteria”). Or what about the southern cities of Torremolinos and Marbella, which host hundreds of thousands of tourists every single year. And there are many of those cities with great beaches.
And for who likes the city nightlife, a visit to Spain should include a visit to the capital Madrid and of course Barcelona, a city that is famous for its great food and the famous soccer team that plays in the impressive Camp Nou. Yes, Spain is a great country to spend some time and I can personally recommend it.
