This remarkable museum once housed three enormous steam engines running seventy looms and 2,800 spindles.  There was also a workforce of some 500 workers, spinning and preparing jute for it to be weaved over the road in  a different factory. Renovation of the building started in 1992 and it opened its doors to the public for the first time on the sixteenth of September nineteen ninety six.
