Ten Exciting Things To Do In Sarasota, Florida

Are you taking a vacation to Sarasota, Florida? This is a fabulous place to bring your family for a little rest and relaxation. Here are ten fun things to do in Sarasota:

1) Stroll around St. Armand’s Circle – What a fun destination to grab a meal, have a drink with friends, spend a day at the spa or grab an ice cream and go window shopping.

2) Walk on the beach – It sounds so cliche but it really is fun. Go to one of the area beaches – Siesta Key, Lido Key, Longboat Key, or Nokomis beach and enjoy a stroll along the beach. The views are breathtaking.

3) Parasail – Are you the adventurous type? If so you should go to Siesta Key and hire a company that will take you on a parasail ride. Basically, you and two friends will be attached to a parachute and be pulled by a rope from a boat. You will soar hundreds of feet in the air like a bird.

4) Go boating – Hop on a boat and cruise around Sarasota bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy the scenery and weather. Sarasota is a great place to see from the water.

5) Hook a fish – There is some great fishing in the Sarasota bay and Gulf of Mexico. In the summertime you can hook into a tarpon. Grab a charter boat and go for a day of fishing.

6) Eat a burger at the Hob Nob – The Hob Nob is a little dive on US 301. There is nothing fancy here but when the weather is nice it is an interesting place to grab a bite to eat.

7) Van Wezel – Go to a show at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center. Entertainers from all over come to Sarasota to put on a show.
8) Run the bridge – Need to burn off the fabulous meals from the great Sarasota restaurants? Take a run over the Ringling Bridge. This is a very enjoyable run because of the breeze and jaw dropping water and downtown views. Very enjoyable.

9) Hop on a bike – Longboat Key is a great place to do a long bike ride. This 11 mile long barrier island has a side walk as well as a bike path. You can go as fast or slow as you wish and you will really enjoy the water views.

10) Admire real estate – Jump in your rental car and look at some amazing real estate. Drive over to Lido Key, Bird Key, Casey Key, Longboat Key and Siesta Key. Take a spine by some of the finest waterfront mansions in the area.

Sarasota, Florida is a fun place to visit. You might have so much fun here that you decide to just stay forever. As a vacationer you can find as much or as little as you want to do.
