What the heck can I do with a degree in recreation administration?

It sounds like a fun major with alot of fun coursework! Careerwise though, it almost looks unprofessional and whimsical on a resume. I understand there are careers for rec administrations, but they are very broad and vague, ie. community recreation planner, corporate wellness program director, etc.
I need some more information about these careers. What does one do on a day-to-day basis and how much is the salary?
